Living in this country for some 25 odd years has taught me one great value – the value of making good chai.
Kids, ever since they are tall enough to reach the kitchen countertop, are taught to make chai because, without it, our lives are incomplete! So to see someone tarnish the holy process of making chai was nothing but horrifying.
According to Mirror UK, one woman on TikTok made her special “hot tea” in a ridiculous fashion with more ridiculous ingredients.
Into a large glass bowl, the woman had her daughter (probably) add:
1) Instant tea powder.
2) Lemonade powder (what?).
3) ‘Tang’ (isn’t that orange juice?).
4) An insane amount of sugar (this is not even funny anymore!).
5) Cinnamon powder.
6) Cloves.
The girl went on to stir all the powders together.
She then went on to heat a cup of water in the microwave. When that was done, she added a teaspoon of the mixture into the water.
And there you have it, hot tea! *cringe*

It is safe to say that people on the internet are scarred for life.
I don't even drink tea and I am angry.
The coffee equivalent would be:
Add one teaspoon of Camp coffee
One gallon of cola
Six packets of dog biscuits
And sprinkle with yoghurt.— Alpha_Greywolf (@Alpha_Greywolf) May 7, 2020
No wonder Americans don't like tea. They've never had it.

Americans don't use electric kettles and I think that is at the root of most of their problems.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but chai is a sacred concept. Please, do not ruin it!
