Admit it! The biggest nightmare of traveling alone is to fall asleep on a bus or train and miss the station where you were supposed to deboard. We’ve all imagined such a situation while traveling alone. Missing your destination while traveling by bus or a train is, however, quite possible. But what if this nightmare of solo travel comes true when you are on an airplane?
Sounds impossible, eh? But an incident where a woman fell asleep on an aircraft has recently come to light. She happened to fall asleep and woke up to find that she was locked inside an empty and dark plane!
Tiffani Adams shared her horrifying experience of when she fell asleep on an Air Canada flight while traveling to Toronto and woke up to the worst nightmare!
A friend of hers shared her story on Facebook and wrote, “I wake up around midnight (few hours after flight landed) freezing cold still strapped in my seat in complete darkness (I’m talking pitch black) as someone with an anxiety disorder as is I can tell you how terrifying this was…I think I’m having a bad dream bc like seriously how is this happening!!?!”
Being a patient of anxiety, she started panicking when she realized that she could not charge her phone as the main power on the aircraft was turned off. “I was so overjoyed when I found a flashlight in the cockpit and I’m making some flashy sos signals out the windows hoping someone sees me. Finally, now that I have a light I’m determined to unlock the door and save myself…felt like a champ when I got main door open (found all 3 latches w my lifesaver of a flashlight and open the door all the way,” she narrates.

But to jump off from the main door on the ground from a height of 50ft was nothing less than jumping to death. So Tiffani sat with her legs on the edge and sent signals to the workers nearby. An airport employee, who finally noticed her was shocked to see her in the aircraft. “He asked how the heck they left me on the plane,” she said.
Neither the woman nor anyone else had a clue how all this happened. Air Canada has however confirmed that they are looking into the matter.
