A 28-year-old woman named Kara from Michigan, America, went to Florida with her boyfriend for a vacation. They were accompanied by her sister and his best friend. At a place called Spinnakers Beach Club, they were approached by a man named James, who lives in the UK, and his friends who were asking for recommendations of good places to eat.
“The first thing I noticed was James’ smile and then his eyes. I won’t lie. I thought he was trouble! There was something between us, though. I can’t even explain it,” Kara revealed, as quoted by Daily Star.
They all hung out together during the day. James and his friends asked Kara and her group if they could also hang out together at night since they didn’t know anyone. All of them showed up later but after eating food, Kara’s boyfriend and his best friend said that they were going to the hotel and would come back after some time.
However, the two boys didn’t show up after that. Kara kept calling them but they didn’t answer their phones. Hence, she hung out with James and his friends the entire night and found that the two of them had a lot in common. They danced together at night and later exchanged their numbers.
But after Kara’s boyfriend got to know that they exchanged numbers, they ended up having a huge fight, after which Kara broke up with him. She then decided that she would get to know James. So, over the next 3 months, they spoke on video call.
“I fell absolutely in love with him. We said I love you to each other before ever sharing a kiss, all based on our shared interests, values, and what we wanted for our futures,” she said.
James then went all the way over to Michigan to meet Kara. They explored her hometown and James got to meet her friends. Later, Kara travelled to the UK and the two of them took weekend trips to London. There was this one time when they decided to visit the place where they first met.
“Little did I know he had a ring and proposed to me on the beach in front of Spinnakers, where we first met. I said yes,” Kara said.
The two got married two months later.
Cannot help but feel sorry for the boyfriend though!
