A married woman from a tribal-dominated village in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabhua was punished terribly for having a love affair with another man.
The 27-year-old woman ran away from her home with her lover from another caste said police, reports NDTV. She was beaten up by the villagers and was forced to walk by carrying her husband on her shoulders as a punishment.
The video of the woman walking with her husband on her shoulders has gone viral on the internet. The viral clip shows an old man dancing in front of the woman while another man beats her with a stick.

“The woman left her home about ten days back. About 10-12 men misbehaved with the woman after she was back in the village and publicly shamed; they snatched her dupatta. We are trying to ensure there isn’t a repeat of such incidents,” ASP of the area Vijay Dawar, told NDTV.
Such humiliation and torture done to a woman is no proof of masculinity but shame! We hope the police identifies and punishes the people present in the shameful procession soon.
