Everyone loves free food. Period. But how far can you go for scoring a free meal? Gatecrash a wedding or force your best friend to buy you one, right? But have you ever thought of ordering food and fleeing away with it? Probably not!
But this woman from New Mexico was so hungry that she rode her bicycle to a Sonic outlet and ordered some food only to race away with it. When asked for money, she allegedly told the server, “This one is on God”.
The server, however, tried to keep the food away from the woman and said, “That’s not how this works.” But she allegedly threatened him and dashed away with food.
Cops, later on, caught her while she was enjoying her stolen meal at a nearby park. 30-year-old Delila Hernandez told the police that she knew she was wrong thus hesitated to eat the meal but had to as she was starving, reports Sun News.
She was arrested by the police and charged with robbery, a felony count that may be reduced. According to reports, she will be charged for a misdemeanor to the extent of $250 (Rs 17,215). She would also have to pay back the restaurant and possibly fined a small amount. The charges against her might also be dropped altogether.
Hunger can clearly make us go beyond our limits! But stealing away the food isn’t going to take you anywhere but jail!
