It has taken a lot of generations for people to start the conversation around mental health. Earlier, people with mental health issues were regarded as ‘crazy’ or ‘mad’ and episodes as ‘overreaction’. For the longest time, visiting a therapist was a taboo. Thankfully, nowadays people are opening more about their mental health issues as stirring awareness surrounding depression and anxiety. However, there is a long way to go.
People have taken to Twitter to talk about what anxiety feels like. They are listing physical and emotional symptoms, like increased heart rate, sweaty palms, tiredness, the urge to cry all the time, etc. which are caused by their individual bouts of anxiety but are often overlooked. Have a look:

#AnxietyFeelsLike my mind going nonstop and not letting me concentrate, makes listening very hard. Making logical decisions becomes impossible around other people. I get conscious about my body movements and it gets hard to even control my facial expressions.

Here’s taking an opportunity to address anyone experiencing such symptoms – never overlook these symptoms and confuse it with being ‘sad’, ‘upset’, or having ‘just a bad day’. It is best to consult a doctor when you spot a pattern. Taking care of our mental health is as important as our physical health.
