It’s a total nightmare when airlines misplace your luggage. Image going for a vacation but having no money or clothes. It would be a total disaster, wouldn’t it? From celebrities to tourists, a lot of people have experienced the horror of losing their bags while traveling from airplanes.
But, what do you do when the mistake is yours? Former Pakistan captain and cricket commentator Wasim Akram took to Twitter to share his dismay about losing his watch while onboard a flight. He tagged the operator to ask for their assistance in retrieving his ‘family heirloom’, reports Hindustan Times.
Have a look at his Tweet:
Lost my watch on flight EK 605 seat 10a KHI-DXB. I am now following @emirates Please have someone contact me ASAP as I have exercised all customer service points in Dubai and do not feel comfortable that enough has been done. This watch is a family heirloom #LostMyWatch

The veteran took to social media as he wasn’t satisfied with the customer service he initially received in Dubai. Emirates Airlines promptly offered their assistance to the cricketer and asked him to provide details of the watch and the flight.
Hi Wasim, please DM us the description of the watch along with your flight details and email address. We'll check on this with our Lost and Found Team and let you know. Thanks.

From offering to gift the legendary speedster a new watch to asking him to buy a brand-new one, supporters had some hilarious suggestions for him:
Get a new casio digital it costs 2000 Rs . It's very accurate and light weight and looks great on men .

If it is your watch that I find then, I'm definitely keeping it as a souvenir. Sorry! 😃

When it's gone , it is gone . You can't swing it back .

You must announce a dinner with the person who brings it to you back as a thx token or else the watch could be a priceless token from a legend

Some people wondered whether the airline would’ve been quite so prompt to revert and aid the common man with such requests as they did when obliging a celebrity:

I wish a normal human being was given the same service as a celebrity. Such an unfair world..

I wonder if @EmiratesSupport would do the same for everyone? 🤔

Well, we know the pain of losing valuables in an aircraft and hope that the cricketer finds his watch soon.
