Virat Kohli, arguably the best batsman of our time is well known for breaking records every day he steps on the field. The skipper of the Indian test side has proved his mettle time and again by scoring runs and winning matches for the team, be it any ground, any situation or against any team.
Virat has had a great run in test cricket in 2016 as he scored over 1200 runs with 3 double centuries. Also, it is under his leadership, that India is now unbeaten in its last 18 test matches, its longest streak ever!
Despite having such a memorable year, ICC has not included Virat Kohli in its ‘Test team of the year’. R Ashwin is the only Indian name that features on the prestigious list which is dominated by English and Australian cricketers.

As expected, Kohli fans were not pleased with ICC’s decision and took to Twitter to unleash their wrath on cricket’s apex body.
1. Indeed it is
Bit strange to have so many English batsmen in the ICC Test team of the year, but no @imVkohli. https://t.co/SWvEoEb9bq

5. Who is Adam Voges, again?
It's surprising that despite his load of runs Virat Kohli is not included in ICC Test team of the year.Aus Adam Voges is preferred over him.

6. Maybe it’s just a bad dream
Woke up to the news that Kohli didn't make it to the ICC Test team of 2016 (aware about the deadline) …going back to sleep.

11. Sad, but true
Virat Kohli scored 1215 runs in 2016 still not got place in ICC Test team. This is how people treat a general category student.

If there is one cricketer who has improved his game leaps and bounds over the years, it is none other than Virat Kohli. His exclusion from the ICC test team of 2016 is surely heartbreaking for his numerous fans all around the globe.
