Bollywood actors Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Pannu were recently asked in an interview whether they’d been caught watching something they shouldn’t have been watching or any other such “hot films”. And they both revealed the embarrassing incidents they’ve faced in the past with their respective families.
As per a report in HT, Vikrant recalled the time when he was at his grandmother’s house as a child when the embarrassing incident happened. He narrated, “The most embarrassing incident happened at my nani’s house. My cousins and I were watching, and my masi (aunt) walked in. We never thought she’d be up at 3 am… Then the walk of shame. I was staying at my nani’s house for a few days, and whenever I’d run into my masi, getting a glass of water or something, I’d be ashamed to look her in the eye. It was very, very embarrassing.”
“But my masi was very kind. She never told my mom or anyone else. It was understood that the kids have grown up,” he added.
Meanwhile, Taapsee recalled that her family would have to watch whatever her father wanted to, and how it would become awkward whenever an explicit scene showed up. She and her sister Shagun would end up looking at each other in confusion, HT reports.
Taapsee said, “Dad mostly used to watch English action films. We had just one TV, so if dad would start watching, we’d have no option but to watch along. We didn’t go out to watch films, per se. It’s normal to have a lovemaking, or a certain kind of explicit scene. But it becomes very awkward when it’s next to your teenage daughters. So both of us are sitting there, and it’s almost like all of us have started sweating, trying to understand who should do what.”
She added that the ‘very obvious’ way for them to deflect the awkwardness was either to suddenly leave to get water or switch the channel. She concluded, “Stuff like this has happened to me, but not like anyone has caught…”
