Video Of A Mob Attacking Tanushree Dutta’s Car In 2008 Surfaces On The Internet

According to Newton’s third law of motion, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Though this is a theory we’ve all learned in school as part of physics, it’s something that extends into the principles of life as well. When feminism started gaining traction, it set off strong reactions in those who did not approve of what the movement was aiming for.

Same with the #MeToo movement. The very fact that women dared to speak about the sexual assault they’ve had to experience and go as far as to name the men responsible, hurt a lot of male sentiments.

And the same happened to Tanushree Dutta when she recently revived a 10-year-old incident involving Nana Patekar, where she accused him of sexual misconduct.

Many questioned her bringing this up 10 years later, accusing it to be nothing more than a PR stunt. Case in point:

And as expected, many even raised fingers on her character based on the career choices she’s made. Among this noise, nobody cared to pay attention to the fact that she did, in fact, complain about the incident 10 years ago when it happened, to not much gain.

In the interview which revived this controversy now, Tanushree also stated that Nana Patekar had called the MNS party to harass her after she walked off the movie set refusing to do intimate scenes with him. However, many still refused to believe her.

Yet, video evidence which prove that the car the actress was travelling in with her parents, was indeed attacked by a mob savagely, has surfaced on the internet.

In the video, the mob relentlessly attacks her car by trying to break into it, releasing the air in the tyres, jumping on top of it etc, all the while hurling abuses at her.

Shocking isn’t it? You’d think this is enough to shut the mouths of all those who were religiously chanting “Why now?” and “This is just for publicity!” and whatnot. And yet, as of now there still are people who say this doesn’t prove that any sexual harassment took place. Let’s see how this plays out in the coming days.
