Do you love makeovers? Then you’re going to love the makeover story of Mumbai’s Versova beach! And a major chunk of the credit for this massive beautification initiative goes to Mumbai lawyer Afroz Shah and his team of dedicated volunteers.
Despite several hindrances, and with the support of celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aditya Thackeray, Randeep Hooda, and several others, Afroz and his team have managed to pull off a Herculean task.
And adding yet another laurel to the Versova Beach Cleanup initiative, is the news that after almost 20 years, the beach will be playing host to newly hatched Olive Ridley sea turtles!
The beach, fresh off its cleanliness drive, is now suitable to become a home to these marine creatures!

Cuties, aren’t they? But just getting them here isn’t the end of the road. In fact, it is only the beginning. Afroz, in his tweet, has called for a marine conservation centre for Versova beach, which will ensure the safety and thriving of these turtles.
Twitter is flooded with congratulatory messages for Afroz and his team, commending them for pulling off such a historic moment!
These guys deserve all the praise they’re getting! Even celebs are joining in the congratulatory fray!
