The Bollywood film industry has never been so neglected as it has been in recent years with the rapid mushrooming of OTT platforms and eye-catching content on them. This is probably why the conventional source of entertainment has to buckle up to make numbers at the box office.
Recently, the biggest lineup of pan-India actors sat down to talk about the evolving film industry, the expectations of movie-goers, an overview of the year that was, and what is that they’re looking forward to in the coming year.
It was during this round table discussion with Film Companion did Varun Dhawan make a mindboggling comment that confused and amused many.
In the discussion, while explaining the current mood of the audience, Varun said:
“I mean, it’s a blowjob to everyone’s ego that you know that you’re a star, you’re this, and you’re that. But eventually, when people are watching the cinema, they just want to be entertained. That’s it.”
