There have been innumerable times that TV actor Urfi Javed has been shamed online for wearing the clothes that she wears. But this time, it weren’t trolls on the internet. It was designer Farah Khan Ali.

“Sorry to say but this young girl needs to be reprimanded for distasteful dressing. People are making fun of her and she thinks they like the way she dresses. Wish someone would tell her,” the designer wrote on Instagram.
However, Urfi decided to give the designer a piece of her mind. Sharing Farah’s comment on her Stories, Urfi wrote, “Ma’am, what is exactly ‘tasteful’ dressing? Please define it for me. Also, I know you people don’t like the way I dress, I’m not living in a bubble but also I don’t care about people’s opinions. You wear something that has a designer tag to it, so it’s tasteful? Your relatives have starred and produced movies where women have worn tiniieee tiny clothes in item numbers. Really that’s tasteful! And sexualising a woman’s body for an item number, that’s acceptable? Charity begins at home. Peace out! This was really unnecessary on your part. Star kids wearing whatever they want is tasteful. Of course.”
The two then engaged in a heated argument online and kept going back and forth.
“There is a rule of fashion. When you choose to wear a revealing top then the bottom part of your outfit should be covered and vice versa. As someone old enough to be your mother or aunt, I don’t like seeing a young talented attractive girl being made fun of for the choice of your clothes,” wrote Farah Khan Ali.
To this, Urfi questioned, “Who made these rules? You’re slut shaming me Ma’am!”
Urfi Javed continued with her rant on Instagram stories. She claimed that people have a lot to say about Farah Khan Ali’s family, so does she change her family as well?
Sharing a picture of Farah in a swimsuit, Urfi highlighted the hypocrisy.
And finally, she posted a video wearing a ‘wacky’ outfit again and her message was simple – “When bitchy aunties on Instagram comment I have ‘distasteful’ dressing sense. Tasteful enough for you now?”
