Mathura Man Robs His Own Home, Then Files A Police Complaint, Gets Arrested

As a kid, have you ever stolen ice cream from the fridge and blamed it on the younger sibling to avoid being scolded by mom? Well, that’s what most of us used to do- blame someone else for our ‘kaali kartoot’ or make a rather convincing story.

Well, this man from Uttar Pradesh also used the same old trick. But instead of receiving a ‘flying chappal’ from mom for lying and misleading, the man was put behind bars by cops.

As reported by NDTV, a resident of Mathura allegedly stole money from his own house and then filed a fake police complaint against four unidentified persons for conducting robbery at his residence.

The man identified as Dilip Kumar Singh looted around Rs 4,50,000 that belonged to his brother and then registered a false FIR in the nearby police station in order to mislead the cops. Dilip made up a story of being robbed by miscreants on Tuesday night who according to him ran away with all the cash.

But, probably after police interrogation, Singh allegedly confessed that the hefty sum of cash was stolen by him and his partner in crime. According to police officials, Dilip needed the money to bribe some officials in order to get a job. As of now, the cops have recovered Rs 1,41,900 of the stolen cash and both the accused have been sent to judicial custody.

Well, Dilip definitely is in hot soup for misleading the cops, stealing the money and then trying to bribe an official. Lying does cost more than we ever think!
