UP’s ‘Singham’ IPS Ajay Sharma Shoots Rapist Who Killed 6 YO Girl, Thanks Police Dept

In a country where brutal cases of rape are increasing at an alarming rate, women safety continues to be a crumbling illusion. What’s even more unfortunate is the fact that many of these barbaric criminals escape without being punished, which encourage them to pull off these heinous acts in the future.

However, then there is IPS Ajay Sharma, who has his own rules of providing justice. Sharma, who is popularly hailed as the ‘Singham’ of Uttar Pradesh, shot a man accused of abducting, raping and murdering a minor, on June 24.

According to Times Now, the accused has been identified as Nazil, who allegedly killed a six-year-old girl on May 7 in the Rampur district and absconded. After recovering the body of the minor, encounter specialist IPS Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma led an operation where he fired three rounds at the accused.

Nazil was then arrested by the police and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

According to reports, the UP Police has been in news for quite some time due to Sharma and his encounters in the past. He also took to Twitter to thank the police department.

Sharma is a 2011 batch IPS officer from Ludhiana and throughout his eight years of service, he has served cities in Uttar Pradesh and currently he has been posted in Rampur district.
