‘Modi Is Not A Rockstar’. Twitter Responds To Shobhaa De’s Controversial Remark.

There’s no denying that our Prime Minister Modi has swag. When he speaks, the whole world shuts up to hear him. After magic in Madison Square, Modi landed in UAE, and obviously the crowd at Dubai cricket stadium went crazy. Indians outside and inside India went crazy. All except one. All except Shobhaa De.

So here’s what Modi said:

I can see a ‘mini India’ in front of me. I salute all Indians, who have come from every corner of UAE. You are among those who are earning livelihood here for 15-20 years and continue to make India proud through your conduct.

The enthusiastic Indian diaspora were praising Modi terming him ‘Rockstar’ and exclaimed that he is bringing India on a new level in the course of his speech at Dubai Cricket Stadium.

 

Shobhaa De, the columnist, took to Twitter and… kind of dug her own grave:

Can we please stop referring to India’s Prime Minister as a ‘Rockstar’!!!! Hello!Dubai. He isn’t from Bollywood!
