I don’t want to state the obvious, but Twinkle Khanna knows her way with words. From welcoming her new neighbour to writing matrimonial ads for a certain someone, she does all of that with a single stroke of her magic pen, and gets it right EVERY. DAMN. TIME.
So when someone calls her out, praising her, questioning her or trolling her in anyway, she knows how to get to them. Don’t take my word for it, look at what happened earlier today.
A Twitter handle called @India Explained called out Twinkle Khanna’s blogs ‘fluff’ and described the ‘Indian elite in a nutshell’.

Mrs. Funnybones did not take well of it and gave him a piece of her mind.
Better than a regressive tweet like this that calls 'progressive' pieces fluff and believes that marriage means sharing the same ideologies https://t.co/PwvKH0zwl3

Not only Twinkle, the Twitterverse is outraged with what @IndiaExplained had to say. People called them out in numbers –
1. She has a point, you can’t ignore.
@IndiaExplained disrespectful to not tag you.this regressive bias of yours for women to conform to their husbands views is worrisome https://t.co/fENAn1bzWs

@mrsfunnybones ?Exposes his deep ingrained bias believing women should follow the “husband”.Does he not know your views on changing surnames post marriage?
— Monica Jasuja (@jasuja) May 10, 2017
2. There she said it.
@IndiaExplained I ll remember to pick a husband with same political beliefs.

3. My feelings too…
@IndiaExplained As if women do not have and should not have their own identity or belief!!!! Is it the time of The Ramayana???? Regressive much?!?!
— payel chatterjee (@teddybarbie) May 10, 2017
4. Don’t you get it?
@IndiaExplained It is not necessary for them to share the same beliefs. They are two different individuals who have their own thoughts and mindsets.

5. Please…NOW.
@IndiaExplained Not necessary that a couple shares same ideology or have the same views. Unfair to drag Twinkle into this. She has a existence of her own.

But this isn’t the very end of the conversation. @IndiaExplained has this to say.

Wonder if Twinkle Khanna will have something to say about this.
It’s just hard for me to understand the concept of attacking people from behind the comfort of a cozy chair and a Twitter handle. There is a difference between voicing your opinion and shaming/name calling someone. The line is drawn, let’s not cross it.
