In June, the Indian Government banned a number of Chinese apps including people’s favorite TikTok, and then later TikTok Lite as well this month. Now, the US is likely to be seen taking up the same step too.
As per a report in TOI, due to national security and censorship concerns, US President Donald Trump announced that he plans to ban the Chinese-owned video app TikTok. According to ET, the president’s impending ban would come if China’s ByteDance Ltd. fails to divest its ownership of TikTok.
