King Tommen Played Another Character On Game Of Thrones. WHAT? WHEN?

For all you Game of Thrones fans, Tommen is not just himself, he’s also played another character from the Lannister clan on GOT.

The actor Dean Charles Chapman, better known as Tommen, also played the character of Martyn Lannister in Season 3. Tywin Lannister had a brother called Kevan Lannister. Correct? Well Martyn was his son.

Since so many episodes have gone by, you may not recall this small little cameo. But he was definitely there with his brother Willem Lannister.

Sadly Martyn only appeared for 2 episodes: Walk of Punishment and Kissed by fire

He was a squire for the Lannister army and was captured by the Tullys. As he became Robb Stark’s prisoner, he was killed by Rickard Karstark to avenge the death of his own son, who was slaughtered by the Lannisters.

But Dean playing two characters so closely related had nothing to do with the plot

Thought if this were a Hindi serial he’d be a reincarnation of his dead cousin trying to avenge his own death. Thankfully GOT is not directed by Balaji, so the reason was somewhat sensible.

Dean was cast as Tommen because the role required heavy acting and it was obvious that older Tommen would somewhat resemble his cousin

So by this decision we know one thing for sure, Dean is damn good actor!

Well, that’s something we all would agree with.
