On October 27, Mehak V Piragal, a businesswoman from Basavanagudi appointed Kushal Singh as a helper at her residence on a friend’s recommendation. On Diwali, Mehak’s entire family left for performing puja at their garment store at Chickpet and asked Kushal to guard the house, reports TOI.
When the family returned home at 9 p.m they found their entire house ransacked. Gold ornaments kept in their cupboard were also missing and Kushal too was nowhere to be found. Without wasting any time, Mehak immediately informed the police. They began investigating the matter and went through Kushal’s Call Detail Record (CDR).
Based on the CDR, the police found that Kushal has taken a train to Ajmer, Rajasthan. So, the smart cops booked their flight tickets to Jaipur and traveled to Ajmer. Three days later when Kushal deboarded the train in Ajmer, the Bengaluru cops took him in custody and brought him back to Bengaluru.
The cops ensured that he doesn’t have enough time to sell the stolen ornaments and nabbed him quickly. “This was Kushal’s first visit to Bengaluru and he doesn’t have any criminal record. He wanted to make a quick buck and wanted to lead a happy life, but chose the wrong path,” a police official told TOI.
I wonder what if the thief deboarded the train at some other railway station? How were the cops so sure that he’ll travel to Ajmer? Maybe they were live-tracking his location. What are your thoughts on the incident?
