Tata Motors Cleverly Turned The Super Blue Blood Moon Event Into A Crowdsourced Pics-travaganza

Yesterday wasn’t just another Wednesday. In fact, on this ‘usual’ Wednesday, the world bore witness to a cosmic phenomenon so unusual, that you could pretty much call it a once-in-blue-moon occurrence. No wait! Scratch that!

Skygazers around the world were in for the treat of a lifetime as they gazed at something called the ‘Super Blue Blood Moon’, an event that hasn’t been seen for 150 years!

Interesting name, isn’t it? Believe me, it was an even more interesting phenomenon and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Why, you ask? Well, it’s all in the name, really!

First, it was a Supermoon, with the moon being only a day past its perigee, i.e the closest it can get to Earth. This also means the moon appeared almost 14% bigger and more breathtaking than usual! Second, it was the second full moon of the month, which makes it a blue moon. And third, it was a total lunar eclipse as well, and while the Moon was in the Earth’s shadow, the Sun’s light caused the Moon to take on a reddish hue, almost blood-like.

Awesome, no?

But guess what made it all the more awesome? Let me tell you. Or rather, let me show you!

Tata Motors had set up the perfect welcome for this rare cosmic event by urging everyone to #ChaseTheSuperMoon!

As a grand ‘Hello’ to the gorgeous Supermoon that was going to light up the night sky, the Tata Motors Instagram account displayed a surreal-looking grid!

Isn’t this an amazing and rather innovative way to celebrate this celestial event?

The centre tile in the grid was a video with a clear shoutout to everyone planning to #ChaseTheSupermoon.

The idea was to make this rare cosmic occurrence a memory that could be cherished forever. And what better way to do that then to capture it in your phone, right? That’s what Tata Motors urged everyone to do!

When you’re talking about the moon, can the stars be far behind? Even Sonam Kapoor seemed excited to watch this once-in-a-lifetime event and decided to get her piece of the super blue blood moon pie!

We all knew what a wonderfully picturesque night this was going to be. But who would’ve thought it could get so interesting? A major kudos to Tata Motors for turning it into something even more memorable and rallying everyone to play a part in it.

I, for one, think the idea to #ChaseTheSupermoon was the perfect tribute to Tata Motor’s long-standing philosophy of ‘Connecting Aspirations’, and in the process, reaching for the moon! And with this fun activity planned, they drove everyone to do just that! Could this be their step to conquer the final frontier?
