In A Supercar Crash, A Porsche, Bugatti & Mercedes Tragically Collide In The Swiss Alps

Disclaimer – What you are about to read is not a potential scene from ‘Fast & Furious’ but an actual incident that occurred in real-time.

In an accident that might be every auto lovers’ worst nightmare, a Mercedes-Benz C-Class wagon, a Porsche 911 Cabriolet and a Bugatti Chiron were damaged during a car crash in Switzerland.

According to HT Auto, the incident occurred on the Gotthard Pass road when one car tried to overtake the other on a significantly narrow stretch of road. The Kanton Uri Police said that the driver of a Bugatti, who was reportedly in the fifth position, attempted to overtake the cars in front. However, at the same time, the driver of the fourth-placed Porsche also began executing a similar move.

This led to ‘an accident worth millions’ as the two vehicles collided. The Porsche also crashed with the leading Mercedes and the Bugatti collided with the motor home that was driving ahead, reports NDTV. While all the 3 luxury cars were damaged, the Porsche bore the most brunt. The grille, front bumper, and hood of the Bugatti were also busted.

Several private towing services pressed into action, to take away the damaged cars. In case you are wondering how expensive was the crash – According to Daily Mail, the total damage was around 3.7million francs (Approx. Rs 30 crores). However, apart from the damages to the cars, the passenger in the Mercedes suffered considerable injuries too, reports the Indian Express.

Driving in the Swiss Alps might be an alluring experience, however, as a car lover, I haven’t seen “so much pain” in one picture.  What do you think about this ‘expensive crash’? Tell us!
