The 68th National Film Awards took place on Friday and was held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu presented multiple film actors, filmmakers and other film-making professionals with the prestigious award. Two of them were Tamil actors Suriya and his wife Jyothika.
According to Hindustan Times, Suriya won the Best actor award for ‘Soorari Pottru’ while Jyothika, who is the co-producer of the film, received the Best Feature film award for the same film.
Both wore traditional attires for the event. While Suriya donned a veshti, his wife Jyothika wore a lavender saree. Pictures of the couple have gone viral on social media where the two can be seen clicking each other’s pictures while receiving the award.
Several people online lauded the husband-wife duo and said that this is what real #CoupleGoals should look like where both individuals grow together and support each other.

According to Firstpost, ‘Soorarai Pottru’ bagged 5 National Awards in different main categories including Best Feature Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Background Score. Kudos to the entire team of the film!
