Rs 270 Crores In 5 Days! Sultan Breaks All Records And Surpasses Every Bollywood Film Ever.

Not very long ago, a film reaching the 100 crore mark at the Box Office was a big reason to celebrate. However, it seems like the trend has been drastically changed and the 100 crore club is not that an elite place to be anymore with the Salman Khan starrer Sultan smashing every record ever made, going way past its predicted score of 150 crores.

Not a week has passed since the release of Sultan on Wednesday, and already, the film has grossed a whopping Rs 182.62 crore in India and Rs 87.77 crores overseas.

With two days to go for completing the week, 200 crore doesn’t seem a hard task! While Sultan made an average of  Rs 30 crore a day since its release, Sunday saw the highest turnover over an unbelievable Rs 39 core. The worldwide turnover of Sultan has been calculated as 269.49 Crore.

 

Sultan will be the first ever Bollywood film to cross the 200 crore mark in a matter of just seven days of release.

Recent movies that have come close to grossing as much as Sultan as made in the first five days are

Dabangg 2 – 158.5 crore
Tanu Weds Manu Returns – 152 crore
Bodyguard – 142 crore
Dilwale – 148 crore
Singham Returns – 141 crore
Dabangg – 145 crore

…but then, these movies have generated the revenue throughout their run at the theaters whereas, Sultan is yet to run its first full week.

Looks like there’s no stopping Salman Khan.
