How Stray Dogs Prevented A Temple Robbery In Kanpur & Shooed Away Thieves Riding Horses

Remember how in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan’s characters made an entry riding horses in the middle of the busy Mumbai streets? One would think that it’s absurd. I mean, why would anybody choose horses as a mode of transport in a world filled with cabs, bikes and autorickshaws? But as it turns out, people in our country would rather choose horses over three and four-wheelers, even when it comes to intricate tasks…like a robbery!

This is the story of two robbers from Kanpur who arrived at a temple riding horses. Their intention – to steal the temple’s donation box. The incident happened on December 20 at the Radha-Mohan temple near KDA Dharamshala in Barra-6, reported Economic Times.

However, the vigilant stray dogs in the vicinity sensed that something was very sketchy about the two men. So they started barking constantly and alerted the people in the neighbourhood. The two thieves tried to grab the donation box but they couldn’t dislodge it. The residents of the neighbourhood were roused by the incessant barking meanwhile.

The thieves had to let go of their plan and retreat. They mounted their horses once more and escaped from the location.

And that’s how the stray dogs saved the day!
