‘Time To Go Home’ SpiceJet Pilot’s Announcement On Flight Evacuating Indians From Ukraine

As Russia continues its military operation in Ukraine, thousands of Indians remain stuck in the war-torn country. While initially, there were 20,000 Indians, mostly students, in Ukraine, many have been evacuated.

In a touching video that went viral, a SpiceJet pilot is seen addressing Indian passengers on a flight that was evacuating them from Budapest and bringing them to Delhi, reported The Indian Express. People living in Ukraine fled and went to neighbouring countries which are being called ‘safe zones’, Budapest in Hungary being one of them.

“On behalf of the entire SpiceJet family, we welcome you all onboard on this special flight from Budapest to Delhi. We are very happy to see all of you safe and sound and are proud of each one of your courage and determination. You overcame the uncertainty, hardship, fear and made it here safely. And, now it’s time to go back to our motherland. It’s time to go home.”

We hope that just like this, many more flights are sent to bring back Indians who are stuck amidst the Russia-Ukraine war.
