Sonakshi Speaks Of Feeling Exhausted & Burning Out: “I Started Putting On Weight”

Shotgun Junior Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut with the action-drama film Dabangg in 2010. Even though she has quite an impressive line of work, her career in films did hit a rough patch. The actor who has been out of sight of late says that she has been taking it slow.

Even though she calls herself a workaholic, Sonakshi feels that she exhausted herself and yearns to slow down and probably take a break from her busy schedule.

“It was a very conscious decision. I realized, at some point, I was burning out,” Hindustan Times quoted her saying. She added, “I had literally no time for myself.”

“I started putting on weight because I couldn’t find time to work out, and was just working and working. That’s why you have to keep yourself happy and spend more time on yourself, the better you are able to do that at work as well.”

The 33-year-old actor and singer further said that she was unable to look after herself due to the lack of time. “I am a workaholic, I love working. When I was doing that too, I was enjoying it.”

“But I realized that I was getting tired and cranky. I wasn’t able to find time to do painting, gym, and these things are very important for your personal growth. That’s when I thought you should do one thing at a time, enjoy work, personal life as well. I have been happier since.”

Having said that, the ‘Rowdy Rathore’ actor is busy making a dhamakedaar entry into the OTT platform. All the best, Sona!
