Several people across India are boycotting China-made goods in order to show their solidarity with the Indian army. After 20 soldiers died in the violent face-off between Indian and Chinese troops at the Galwan Valley, people decided to extend their support to the Indian army by getting rid of Chinese products.
According to NDTV, people burnt the Chinese flag, China-made products, and effigies of President Xi Jinping to express their anger over the violent clashes. In a video widely shared online, few people threw what seems to be a China-made television from their balcony in Surat to support the movement, reports India Today.
After the TV was dropped to the floor, few people proceeded to stamp on it and trash it completely. They were also heard chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ as they destroyed the TV set.
