You’re The Only Single Person In Your Friend Group When…

Being single is awesome, and so is being in a relationship. But life becomes a bit weird for people who are the only ones who are single among their friends, who all happen to have a significant other. They have to bear the brunt of having committed friends, and still try and not wonder when they’ll find someone.

You know you’re single as hell among a group of friends when…

1. You automatically have a lot of free time, because you don’t have anyone to attend to

*Sleeps at 10 p.m.*

 

2. You’re free whenever your not-single friends ask you to hang out

It might look like you don’t have a life, but that’s not true. Probably.

 

3. You have to endure your friends bailing on you when you make plans, because obviously

Sigh.

 

4. You are now the relationship guru in your friend group

You can solve relationship woes faster than Sherlock Holmes can crack a case.

 

5. Finding out that your friend’s S.O. will be joining you and your friend, at the last minute, is not the least bit surprising

Sure, bula lo jis jisko bulana hai.

 

6. And as a result, you’ve befriended them as your own friends

So now you have twice as many friends. Yay!

 

7. There are times when you feel incredibly awkward being the only single person in a group of couples

Uh…get a room, maybe?

 

8. Hearing instances of all the cheesy things your friends’ S.O.s have done makes you a little bit jealous from time to time

If only you had someone too… *shudder*

 

9. And it’s especially hard on days like Valentine’s Day

Stupid fucking overrated day. *Drinks wine directly from bottle*

 

10. On the upside, while your friends are dealing with real ups and downs with their S.O.s, you have the liberty to crush on anyone

Flirt, flirt, and then you flirt some more. 😉

 

11. You have intense celebrity crushes, and that’s pretty cool too

It totally counts; it’s totally a thing.

 

12. You don’t have to go out of your way to impress anyone, so you can do literally anything you want

Fuck. Yes.

 

13. You can spill embarrassing secrets of your friends to their S.O.s and feel zero guilt

This is literally the best thing that has ever happened to you in this situation.

 

14. You spend significantly less on phone bills, presents, etc

And you get to spend it on your one true love: Food.

 

15. And you love your single status, so there’s nothing to feel incomplete about

Feeling like shit every now and then is fine, but you’re not ready to give up your freedom yet. So, yay for you!
