Singapore Welcomes Diwali With Decked Up Trains And Streets For The First Time Ever!

Diwali is a festival that brings the entire country together in the happy festivities connected to it. It seems it is also bringing other cultures closer to us with the White House hosting an annual lamp lighting ceremony. Now it’s Singapore’s time.

This year, Singapore’s famous Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) launched its first Diwali-themed train on October 15 which will run through the mid of November.

Take a look at the beautiful uniqueness!

1. That astonishing detail!

2. Feeling the tingle yet? 😀

3. That glorious lotus

4. This intricate Rangoli design

It is inspired by the designs from a similar style of festivity that’s exhibited in Singapore’s Little India area, which has a dense Indian population.

Not just the trains but the North East Line and the Downtown Little India stations are also decorated in the festive spirit.
