Shoaib Akhtar Loses Cool At Indian Journo Who Was Taunting Him After Pakistan’s Loss

India and Pakistan share a troubled past that has trickled down to the present, thereby creating flared sentiments among its citizens. And for some reason people consider their country’s cricketers to be the outlet. However, they are least bothered about that. Yes, there have been some ugly spats on the field. But of the field, their approach towards their neighbouring country is mostly civil and amicable. That’s why when an Indian journalist tried to stir up some controversy, she got shut down by Shoaib Akhtar.

India faced off against Pakistan at the Asia Cup and defeated them comfortably. So, a journalist from ABP News tried to get an emotional reaction out of Shoaib Akhtar before last Sunday’s match. It’s safe to say it didn’t go well for her.

After welcoming Shoaib onto the show, the anchor started rubbing India’s win over Pakistan in his face, which is fair. But her take was a little off. She said that India defeating Pakistan might be a part of the Swacch Abhiyaan and she asked him if Pakistan is ready to face India once again.

Shoaib wasn’t in the mood for all that sass and requested the anchor to ask questions that are related to cricket. He said that he isn’t a state level cricketer and asked her to maintain a sense of dignity. And as soon as she asked about Pakistan’s strategy, Shoaib started talking about who he thinks should be playing in the match.

This incident actually comes shortly after Gautam Gambhir faced a tirade of attacks from Pakistani journalists before India’s first match with Pakistan, causing him to shut them down. And since Shoaib Akhtar has done the same, it’s better if all of us talk about cricket with cricketers.
