Sehwag Thrashes National Daily For Misquoting Him About Jawans And Their Plight In Kashmir

A few days ago, videos of CRPF jawans being attacked and humiliated in Kashmir surfaced and went viral. While the paramilitary personnel were seen keeping their composure, civilians around the nation have come out in open and condemned the way the youth is treating The Army on duty for the Srinagar Lok Sabha by-election.

Only yesterday, cricketer Gautam Gambir expressed his anger on Twitter and left a bold message for every ‘anti-Indian’ who chanted ‘India go back’ in the disputed valley. He was later joined by cricketer Virender Sehwag who also tweeted his resentment about the same. However, it turned murky soon enough. 

To give you a context, Sehwag took to Twitter and said, 

 

However, it was made to seem entirely different when a national daily chose to go with the headline, as mentioned below.

This angered the otherwise cheery Sehwag who didn’t flinch from calling out the publication in the most savage manner! 

 

He then went ahead and reprimanded the group for their audacity to delete the tweet without any apology. 

 

Taking notice of the severity and lack of responsibility on their part, the publication then posted the correct quote, followed by an apology. 

Although the goof up had a lot of lost words to be a genuine mistake, the lesson is learnt! Do not mess with Viru Paaji. PERIOD.
