Sandeep Reddy Vanga Lashes Out At Kiran Rao For Accusing ‘Kabir Singh’ Of Glorifying Stalking

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is lashing out at everyone who is criticizing his films, especially ‘Animal’ and ‘Kabir Singh’. Earlier, he went on record to slam Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand for giving bad reviews for his films. He even took to X (formerly Twitter) to take a dig at film critic Sucharita Tyagi. He didn’t even stop at veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and criticized his craft.

Yet again Sandeep Reddy Vanga has called someone out and it’s Kiran Rao this time. According to Indian Express, Kiran Rao had mentioned in an interview that films like ‘Kabir Singh’ promote stalking. To this, Vanga reminded her of her ex-husband Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dil’.

“Today morning, my AD showed me an article. It is of the second ex-wife of a superstar. She is saying that films like Bahubaali 2 and Kabir Singh promote misogyny and stalking. I think she does not know the difference between stalking and approaching. When people read these things out of context, they tend to agree. This is entirely wrong,” Hindustan Times quoted Vanga saying.

Speaking about ‘Dil’, Vanga said that in it, Aamir Khan’s character threatens a woman with rape but later falls in love with her towards the end.

“I would like to say to that woman, ‘Go ask Aamir Khan, Khambe jaisi khadi hai, Ladki hai ya fuljari hai what is that? Then come back to me. If you remember Dil, he almost creates the situation towards an attempted rape, and it makes her realise that she was wrong. She ultimately falls in love. What is all this? I don’t understand why they attack like that before checking the surroundings,” he said.

What are your views on Vanga’s justification?
