After He’s Denied Discount, Samosa Lover Calls The Shop As ‘Gangster’s Brother’, Demands 50 Lakh

It’s a given that foodies can go to any extent when it comes to savoring their favorite treats. But no one knew they can even blackmail anyone just to get discounts and free food.

This weird incident happened in the Chandu Vihar area of Gurugram. A samosa lover and a regular customer at the shop tried to extort money from the owner after he was denied a discount on samosas, reported India Today.

The accused, identified as Sagar hailing from Sadhrana village, was so annoyed that he called the Barfiwala sweet shop in the vicinity and threatened the owner named Anil. Introducing himself as the brother of a jailed gangster named Aku, he asked for the owner’s WhatsApp number and demanded Rs 50 lakh. He further intimidated them with dire consequences if they didn’t pay the money.

On receiving the threat, the owner filed a complaint at the police station and also shared the phone number from which he received the call. Thankfully, the police were able to track the location of the accused to Gurugram. He was later arrested on Sunday. When the cops questioned him, he told the police that he loves eating samosas.

Well, he’ll have to eat jail ka khana for a while now.
