The only thing a normal person does on a roller coaster ride is SCREAM! While being whiplashed through the roller coaster’s massive peaks and drops,. Keeping calm on a roller-ride is no less than a superpower!
But an amusement park in Spain just got its superhero! Samuel Kempf, a New Zealand fistball player was enjoying his roller-coaster ride at an amusement park in Barcelona. He suddenly saw an object coming his way. So, he reached out for it, giving it a try to grab it. And unbelievably, he managed to catch it in a jaw-dropping move!
The object was an iPhone X, which was apparently dropped by a fellow rider mid-ride by mistake. He shared the video of his incredible catch on YouTube.
Describing the incident in the description box, the athlete wrote:
“I was in Spain at Port Aventura on Shambhala ride and saw the person a few rows ahead drop their iPhone X. Long story short, I caught it. This roller coaster is moving at over 130kms… was once Europe’s tallest and fastest coaster.. only recently beaten.”
After the ride, Kempf handed over the phone to its owner who was shocked to find his fallen phone in a single piece!
“He couldn’t believe it, he gave me a big hug,” Kempf told New Zealand’s Stuff.
“The funniest reaction was when we had got off the rollercoaster and you go down to look at the photos and videos they take and half the people there seemed to be watching our screen and then everyone started cheering and clapping when it happened,” he added.
Kempf’s impressive reflexes and the spontaneous catch truly deserves an applause. What a catch, man!
