At a time when the whole nation is grieving the sad state of affairs in our country, some people still find it important to show women their place. Issues and crimes against women are still on the incline and if a ‘modern’ woman dares to have an opinion on things, she is trolled and asked to shut up.

Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has always been vocal about her views on politics, sexual harassment and gender inequality. She was one of the many people who expressed her anger and frustration with the Kathia rape and murder case.

Like all the others, she took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the chilling case which was a part of a political conspiracy to drive out the Bakherwal community from the region. She also speaks of the Unnao rape case.

“Dear govt, plz change #BetiBachao to #BetiHumHiSeBachao.Your MLAs are making a mockery of your slogan. A victims father is killed in jail?Don’t claim to be #Hindu. You don’t view women as Goddess forms, so end this hypocrisy NOW! #JusticeForAshifa”

It was after this tweet that a user called Rampat Haramai commented on her tweet, questioning her opinion on rape simply because she has done several intimate scenes in her movies.

He tweeted,

“The one who is seen taking off her underwear in every film is preaching about character.”

While most other celebrities would ignore these trolls, Richa Chadha is not one of them. She had a savage comeback and it has definitely won us over.

Turns out, the person questioning her opinion on rape cases himself is a pervert who shares porn on his timeline.

Twitterati applauded her response and we couldn’t be more proud of her.

1. Thank the guy/girl who invented screenshots.

2. Speaking of undies…

3. Nothing but harami-pan.

As a professional in the entertainment business, CONSENSUALLY doing nude scenes has nothing to do with her right to an opinion, view and standpoint. On the other hand, questioning her voice while you have dirty laundry in your basket is the kind of hypocrisy our country needs to get rid of.
