“Shahid Kapoor Joining The Padmavati Team Is A Blessing,” Says Ranveer Singh

The eccentric actor is always surrounded by controversy, may it be his love life or his acting career. The media cannot get enough of him. Amidst all the rumours, he came out to clear the air.

In a recent interview, Ranveer Singh spoke about him and Shahid Kapoor working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest passion project, ‘Padmavati’.

 

He rubbished the news going around of him opting out of the film.

 

Shahid and Ranveer actually share a warm camaraderie unlike what the media says.

“At one point, I was like, “This is getting out of hand and as the leading man of the film, I need to take the responsibility and initiative to make sure that everything is okay”. So, I called everyone and said, “Let’s meet”. We all got together and I was very happy to see that we gelled well.”

 

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s blue-eyed boy, Ranveer said he will never say no to Bhansali.

 

Speaking about Shahid Kapoor, he made sure everyone knows that he has no bone to pick with the ‘Haider’ actor.

“The only report that was true is that we work out in the same gym and enjoy each other’s company. I have always had a warm and affectionate equation with him.  I have been watching his films even before I got into the industry. I am excited to be collaborating with him.”

 

Speaking about the rumours about him asking Bhansali to cut Shahid’s payroll, he said it goes against his grain.

 

Speaking about how all these rumours are affecting Deepika and their relationship as the media tells us it to be going downhill, he says,
