When it comes to sporting the quirkiest clothes, we simply picture Ranveer Singh in it. And, why not? He’s the King of Quirk amid the glitterati (Oh Rakhi Sawant, don’t mind huh!). But the star, who defines his style as “whimsical and individualistic”, was called a lot of things by critics and celebrities. But never was he expecting Amitabh Bachchan to call him what he called him.
Speaking about his eccentric fashion style, Ranveer was divulging his thoughts and cited an instance where Amitabh Bachchan didn’t quite approve of his outfit.
“I was clean-shaven and had light hair for my look in Kill Dill (2014). I wore a patterned suit to a TV show taping. But the look didn’t translate well under the set’s warm lights. I left home feeling like a million bucks but the reactions on set were less than positive.”
Ranveer was aghast by Big B’s comment.
“I went upto Mr. Bachchan and asked him how I looked. He said, “Son, you look like a plant.”
Umm, wut? We don’t mean to condescend, but that comment is so funny.
But Ranveer has zero fucks to give to what people think about his outlandish style. For him it is his comfort.
“I wear something because I want to wear it. I am not filtering my expression. Fashion is the most honest form of expression. Good, bad, ugly, like it or dislike it, agree or disagree, I am just being true. So if people call it attention-seeking, maybe I am like that. (I prefer to describe my style as whimsical and individualistic, though.)”
In his own terms, he’s suffering from something called a ‘Goalkeeper Syndrome’.

“For every post-apocalyptic outfit I wear, I also have very normal clothes. I call it the goalkeeper syndrome: he makes nine good saves and no one comments but it’s the one he misses that’s remembered. I wear normal clothes all the time but it’s the one time I’m feeling whimsical that gets noticed.”
But, whatever be it, we quite love Ranveer’s style and expect us to wow us further.
