Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in the middle of a real-life ongoing crime? An armed robbery perhaps? Unlike people in crime fiction novels, not everybody has access to hidden silent alarms that alert the nearest police station. So it can get really, really scary. And this is what most experts agree is the best (read safest) course of action in these situations:
- Stay calm
- Cooperate with the criminals
- Call the police with all relevant details after they’ve left
One woman in Moga, Punjab however, did none of the above. Two armed robbers tried to rob her shop but she bravely foiled their plans.

The woman can be seen sitting behind the counter when 2 hooded men approach her with a gun in hand. They threaten her and ask for the valuables to be handed over. When one of them tries to get behind the counter, she jumps into action. She blocks his path and starts to give them chase which baffles the duo. They make for the exit but pause there, wondering what to do next.
This is when she takes out what seems to be a cellphone (to call the cops most likely) and pursues them. The robber with the gun can be seen loading his firearm to scare her but she rushes behind them anyway. Both flee from the shop realising things didn’t go as they’d hoped.
Hopefully, this incident taught them a lesson they won’t forget anytime soon.
