Pune Doctor Gets ‘Tantrik’ In ICU Instead Of Treating Patient, She Dies Of Organ Failure

Superstition is where logic goes to die. I know it is really harsh and I don’t mean to hurt people’s sentiments but the nature of crimes that we have seen being committed just to fulfil a superstitious belief is bound to make anyone a cynic.

With incidents of children being sacrificed, exorcisms being done to the extent that somebody, kidnapping and murdering someone just to make sure that a family member “stays alive”, it is safe to say that humans have lost all compassion. At such times, we turn to people who are educated to fight these practices. Unfortunately, turns out even they can’t help us in this case.

In a shocking incident, a doctor allegedly brought in a godman to ward off evil from a woman’s body after she was admitted to the hospital to get treatment for a lump in her chest.

The incident happened in a hospital in Pune where Sandhya Sonawane approached Dr Satish Chavan, who runs a private hospital on March 11. Little did she and her relatives know that the doctor would bring in a godman while the patient was in the ICU.

As reported by Mumbai Mirror, the family members were not informed of this beforehand and were taken aback by this weird incident. They said,

“We didn’t have any prior knowledge about it, so we recorded the whole incident on mobile.”

The video of the incident which has since gone viral shows the godman waving some items around the woman and performing his rituals, while a man can be seen standing by, not doing anything about this.

The patient Sandhya, unfortunately, died due to multiple organ failure on Monday. The hospital has denied any involvement in the entire incident.

According to recent developments, DNA reports that a case has been registered by the relative at Alankar police station late night on Tuesday. Dr Chavan and the godman have been booked under sections of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013. However, both of them are currently absconding.
