After taking over Bollywood, desi girl Priyanka Chopra flew to the United States to prove her mettle and after decades of hard work, she is finally an international sensation.
But, one might question why PeeCee moved abroad when she was at the pinnacle of her career in India.

Recently, Priyanka joined American actor Dax Randall Shepard on his podcast ‘Armchair Expert‘ and spoke, for the first time, about why she started looking for work in the US and shared her immigrant experience coming from India to America, away from Bollywood.
“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break,” she revealed.
PeeCee first went to the US to make a career in music after Anjula Acharia of ‘Desi Hits’ gave her an opportunity after spotting her in a music video.
“So when this music thing came I was like ‘fu** it I am going to America’. This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it,” Hindustan Times quoted her saying.
However, after working with singing sensations like Pitbull, Will. I.Am, Pharell Williams, among others, she realized that she was much better at her day job as her music career didn’t go as planned.
It’s shocking to know that someone, as acclaimed as PeeCee, was also being pushed into a corner and had people not casting her in Bollywood.
On hearing this, ‘Queen’ actor Kangana Ranaut called out the industry and named and shamed the likes of Karan Johar for bullying actors.

She further wrote that the media wrote extensively about her fallout with Karan Johar because of her friendship with SRK.
“And movie mafia Cruella who is always looking for vulnerable outsiders saw a perfect punching bag in PC and went all out in harassing her to a point where she had to leave India.”

Concluding her tweet, she wrote:
“This obnoxious, jealous, mean and toxic person should be held accountable for ruining the culture and environment of film industry which was never hostile to outsiders in the days of AB or SRK.His gang and mafia PR should be raided and held accountable for harassing outsiders.”
