Monkey Addicted To Drinking Petrol From Parked Bikes In Panipat. Is This For Real?

Every once in a while we come across incidents happening in the world which are not only bizarre but they lead us to question how the world is changing so much that we cannot even predict the simplest of things in our day-to-day life.

Something similar happened to bikers in Insaar Bazar, Panipat who were stumped about their petrol tanks being empty when they returned to their parked bikes after a long day. The situation got so out of hand that they decided to hold a stakeout to catch the culprit.

What met their eyes will shock as well as confuse you!

The culprit behind the empty petrol tanks was a monkey! Yup you heard that right!

A monkey who is apparently addicted to siphoning off petrol from parked bikes and drinking it to get high is the new bizarre thing we have come across. According to a report in UPI, Gaurav Leekha, in-charge of a volunteer organisation in the city said,

“The monkey was clearly addicted to the petrol. It would refuse to eat even bananas and nuts if anyone offered it. It would not trouble anyone as it was perhaps always high.”

The motorcyclists who work as merchants said that the monkey stopped targeting their bikes after being repeatedly shooed away from the parking lot.

This is highly unnatural for a monkey to display such a habit, since the reason for its dangerous addiction is not known yet. We hope it is taken care of by the volunteers and the little creature soon lives a normal life.
