Pathaan began stirring controversy even before its release. From allegations of scenes from the trailer being copied from other films to outrage over Deepika Padukone’s orange-coloured bikini in ‘Besharam Rang’, the movie has been on the receiving end of criticism for both valid and ridiculous reasons.
And now, the Central Board of Film Certification has recommended 12 cuts/changes in Pathaan, including the replacement of shots of Deepika’s “buttocks” and side-boob in ‘Besharam Rang’ with “suitable shots”. reported Times Now.
Here’s a look at some of CBFC’s recommended changes, according to Entertainment Times:
1. The word ‘RAW’ is to be been replaced with the word ‘Hamare’.
2. The term ‘Langde Lulle’ is to be replaced by ‘Toote Foote’.
3. ‘PM’ (Prime Minister) is replaced by ‘President’ or ‘Minister’ and the word ‘PMO’ has been asked to be removed in 13 places.
4. The ‘Ashok Chakra’ is to be replaced by ‘Veer Puraskar’.
5. Further, ‘Ex-KGB’ is to be replaced with ‘Ex-SBU’.
6. Similarly, ‘Mrs Bharatmata’ with ‘Hamari Bharatmata’.
7. And the word ‘scotch’ is to be replaced by ‘drink’.
8. ‘Black Prison, Russia’ by ‘Black Prison’.
9. In the song ‘Besharam Rang’, the “close-up shots of buttocks”, “side pose (partial nudity)” and shots and visuals of “sensuous dance movements” during the lyrics ‘Bahut tang kiya’ is to be censored and replaced with “suitable shots”.
