MP Minister Wants To Ban ‘Pathaan’ As Deepika Is Wearing An Orange Costume In ‘Besharam Rang’

Action drama Hindi film ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, is among the most awaited films of 2023. Recently, the makers of the movie dropped the first song of the movie, ‘Besharam Rang’, that has made a lot of noise.

Even though SRK and DP’s sizzling chemistry in the song was received well by people online, a section of society slammed the makers of the film for making Deepika wear an orange colored bikini toward the end of the song.

Among the people who were offended by Deepika’s costumes in the song was Madhya Pradesh minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, reported India Today.

Taking to Twitter, the cabinet minister shared a video wherein he’s seen talking to the media and explaining why he might look at banning the film in Madhya Pradesh state.

Mishra can be seen saying that the clothes used in the song are objectionable and that the song was filmed with a corrupt mindset. Hence, he would like to request the makers to edit the scenes and alter the costumes, or else the release of the film in the state will be questionable.

Tweeting the video, he wrote in Hindi:

To jog your memory, Mishra is the same politician who had earlier threatened Dabur and designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee to take down their advertisements. He had also opposed Sunny Leone’s ‘Madhuban Mein Radhika’ music video calling it ‘obscene’.

Do you think the people who are objecting to the costumes and the sensual dancing in the song have a case to make?
