10 Secrets Our Parents Do Not Actually Tell Us

Parents are the rocks of our life, the anchors to our ships, the cornerstones to every success we have had in our lives.

They taught us to walk, talk and live our lives, and even if they did a bad job at it, they have made us who we are, and there is no question of how much they have sacrificed for us.

This makes them look like the ideal human beings, but there have been things they will never say to you, even when you have become wise enough to understand them.

1. They have a lot of expectations from you

Every parent does. They want their child to be better than them, to live a better life than them.

 

2. They have a favorite child

Oh, you thought that they loved you and your siblings equally? They probably do, but they have a favorite – even if they say they do not.

 

3. They have fucked up big time in their life too

That is the reason they are so wise in life.

 

4. You were a pain in the ass and sometimes they really wanted to just run away

Especially when growing up. Raising children is difficult and taxing to a point that we do not really comprehend. They were times when they just wanted to let everything go.

They are also human.

 

5. They know whatever secrets you are keeping in, but they will act like they don’t know it

They have known you since you were born. They know how you act and what expressions you make for the littlest of things.

So, if you think that you can hide it from them, you cannot get any more stupid.

 

6. They LOVE it when you go to school and college and basically out of the house

They love having you around, but some time to themselves, without the sense of responsibility is like a vacation for them. And even then moms worry and call us 100 times on our cell phones.

 

7. They have a big fear that you will not be there for them when they get old

Go visit an old age home and talk to the oldies over there.

 

8. They have done drugs and all the shit teens do, and that’s why we are so strong about our opinions about them

They give wisdom and advice because they have gone through a lot. You will not get better advice from anyone else.

 

9. Sometimes they just put you to sleep so they could have sex

Yup, that happened too.

 

10. Sometimes they have broken your favorite things but have always had an excuse ready for it too

They have mistakenly broken your favorite pencil or a toy and have made up legit stories so that they are not seen as culprits.

They are still the best people in your life, always there for you.
