Pakistani Actor Fired From A British TV Show For His Racist Tweets Against Indians

The matters between India and Pakistan have always been sensitive and more so now after the Uri attacks. People have been speaking their mind on Twitter about how they feel and what should be the next step.

But when a Pakistani actor stepped up his game to a bitter, very bitter level, the British channel ITV had no option but to fire him.

Pakistani-born Marc Anwar, 45 was fired from a long-running British soap opera ‘Coronation Street’, for his racist tweets on India after the Uri Attacks.

He called out to all Pak actors to quit working in India, referring Indians as b******s’ and ‘p***-drinking c***s.

He got a major backlash on Twitter. People criticized him for his offensive comments and the channel was appreciated for its decision on firing him.

His role was the center of the story line ‘Coronation Street’ surrounding a new blackmail plot on the show, but now his role has been completely cut.

He joined the show in 2014 marking the first Muslim family on the show.

His tweets were deleted soon after the consequences of his words started haunting him. He recently uploaded an apology on his YouTube Channel, pleading for forgiveness.

If all this energy that comes out as anger could be harvested in doing something better, the world would become more peaceful.
