I would really doubt the amount of fun you had in your childhood if you haven’t played ‘Gully Cricket’ with your friends. Yes, I am talking about the crazy times when your worst enemies were your neighbors, because of the number of windows you’ve shattered. Or the numerous times when the biggest debate in life happened to be over the person who would go in search of the lost ball.
However, the toughest challenge while playing in the streets came while deciding if it is an ‘out’ or a ‘not out’. And we all know that the person who owned the bat would emerge victoriously in the fight.
Now, this brings to an incident where a group of Pakistani boys playing gully cricket, felt the similar need of an umpire to judge a tricky situation. Sharing a picture, they went straight to the apex cricketing body, the ICC, on Twitter and asked for a review!
Out, or not out? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/1gDMP11rCn

The picture showed the middle stumped knocked off the ground while the bells were still intact and balanced on the leg and off stumps.
And guess what? The International Cricket Council shared the picture from their official Twitter handle and left it for the fans to answer.
Not out

If ball touch to wicket then “Out”
If ball not touch the wicket then “Not Out”😂🏏
I heard this decision in My Village from a brilliant Umpire. So, you can also ask to umpire 😂— Atif kahloon(Jutt) (@Atifmunirahmed) March 24, 2019
It's not out

While most of the guesses ruled the batsman safe, the ICC finally gave its verdict. It was an OUT. According to ICC’s rule 29.1.1, if a stump is plucked out of the ground completely, the batsman has to make the long walk back despite the position of the bells.
….. and its's OUT ☝️

The law states,
“The wicket is put down if a bail is completely removed from the top of the stumps, or a stump is struck out of the ground.”
Let the play begin once again, guys. 😛
