Pakistan Takes The Title For ‘Most Bizarre Run Out In History’, Netizens Can’t Stop LOL-ing

Cricket is probably one of the simplest games in existence. You hit the ball, you take runs and you progress. You take wickets, you stem that progress and turn the tables in your favour. However, some people tend to make this simple game look like a complex theory of Quantum physics. And by that some people, I mean the Pakistan cricket team.

Pakistan is currently in Abu Dhabi, playing the second Test match against Australia. And during the 52nd over, the match took a backseat as the batsmen had something very important to discuss in the middle of the pitch.

The whole thing went down something like this. Pakistan’s Azhar Ali edged Peter Siddle’s delivery to the third man. The ball went past him and was seen racing to the boundary. However, it didn’t actually reach the line. That’s why Mitchell Starc retrieved it, threw it to Captain Tim Paine, who knocked the bails off, while the Pakistani batsmen were busy chatting.

Azhar Ali and Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur were obviously shocked. But so were the netizens who saw this hilarious situation unfold in front of their eyes.

Let’s hope Azhar Ali has learnt the lesson that you should see if the ball has crossed the boundary and that you should store your conversations for after the match.
