Nawazuddin Calls Out Superstars For ‘Fake Acting’, Advises Acting Aspirants To Be Original

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui made it big in B-town without any Godfather. The star who once reportedly worked as a chemist in Vadodara gained international recognition for his work in movies like ‘Black Friday’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, ‘Sacred Games’ among others.

Giving advice to aspiring actors, ‘The Lunchbox’ star in his recent interview said that they should come up with their unique style to be liked by all. “I would just like to say from my experience that you should not lose your originality,” the Times Of India quoted him saying.

Calling out superstars, he said, “These superstars do fake acting, so don’t get carried away with it. I want to see your original acting. If you are acting like a superstar, why would I watch you? If you show something good, something that is interesting and original, I would want to see that,” he added.

Since the world is moving to the OTT platforms for entertainment, even actors are striving to make it big there. Talking about it, he said, “In the beginning, it was because of cause and passion. Now, because of the lockdown and films not releasing in theatres, these big stars are coming to OTT. That is not a good thing. Now there are big OTT platforms that are taking these big stars. Why didn’t these stars come before?” a report by The Statesman quoted the 46-year-old star.

Avid fans of Nawaz have seen him grow and flourish in India and abroad all because of his passion and his originality. Budding actors should sure pay heed to his advice. After all, he’s the actor of the masses.
