Narayana Murthy Says He Travelled 11 Hrs On Train Without Ticket To Drop Sudha Murthy Home

Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his wife and head of Infosys Foundation Sudha Murty are giving a lot of interviews together currently because of the release of the book ‘An Uncommon Love: The Early Life of Sudha and Narayana Murthy’ which has been written by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, who is celebrated for ‘The Palace of Illusions’ and ‘The Forest of Enchantments’.

In one such interview, Narayana Murthy revealed that one day, he travelled for 11 hours without any ticket to drop Sudha Murty home.

“Those days, I was, whatever, in love. Well, I should say what somebody has said… you know what I am talking about. The hormones would be kicking in… you know how it is,” NDTV quoted him saying.

However, people did not see this comment as something cute and romantic. They, instead, walked way past the romance and called out Narayana Murthy for not doing something he urges other youngsters to do – work 70 hours a week!

A lot of people pointed out that if he travelled for 11 hours on the train, that week he did 59 hours of work instead of 70, and they weren’t happy with it. Here’s how some of them reacted:

Feeling bad for anyone who took his 70-hour work-week advice seriously! 😛
